Hi Alessandro,

I am a journalist working on a MFA in photography in the US and would like to write about your work in a research paper. The paper compares early and contemporary documentary surrealist photography. I found your book, “Vision from Another World”,in our library and found your work to be beautifully surreal.

I am going to write about your work either way, but of course would love to have your input. Actually, I also write articles for the American Society of Picture Professionals’ magazine, “The Picture Professional”, so perhaps this summer we could do a more in depth interview/article for that paper.

Ho ricevuto molte richieste di mettere online alcune interviste e discussioni che ho intrattenuto con curatori, siti di fotografia e ricercatori americani negli ultimi mesi o anni.. Nel weekend tra il 18 e il 20 Marzo, lo spazio Forma di Milano ha organizzato quello che dai più sono stati definiti come gli “Stati Generali della Fotografia Italiana”. Fotografi e curatori sono stati invitati a discutere su alcune tematiche care al mondo della fotografia. Ho partecipato al primo giorno di incontri per poi ascoltarne i contenuti via podcast in queste settimane per poi condividere il mio punto di vista.

I would like to thanks all my friends that wrote me in the last days, worried I could be in Japan for my Tokyo project. I’m still in Italy for a period working on the last images of Tokyo before the drama. The book I was indeed working on, is taking now a different meaning as the last view of a poetic Tokyo before the drama.

My gallery in Beirut is opening tonight, 3/3/2011 an exhibit with many different photographers, called : Q Calling the shoots, Vol 2, about Narrative Photography.
I’ve the pleasure to be in with artist such as Mitra Tabrizian, whom I really love the works.

Narrative Photography: The art of the narrative: the capacity of telling a story through a picture, an artwork, documenting the moment and capturing the past. After the success of Vol. 1, it is very exciting to again see works from the same artists bringing together

Alessandra have posted an interview we had some months ago about some aspect of my life and photography.
She is first at all a photographer really focus on our art, writing, thinking and managing about it on www.post.it, aurorafotografi and others media.

“Flash Art” , the leading italian and international Art magazine, in the last editorial issue,  had choice a list of Italian photographers who the Magazine considers the most representative for the art market.

I would say thank you to the magazine to have the great pleasure to be in this list with some of the great italian photographer of the last generations.
